There is a rumour that Bristows may be sponsoring again next year. But it's only talk at the moment. However, once on the course there is no guarantee of completion. Some courses are disbanded early depending on work available.
There seems to be an upturn in work for next year and if those pilots with an ATPL(A) eventually get a job fixed wing then there could be a shortage.
Incidently there is more to Bristows than Aberdeen they do have other UK and overseas bases. Although I've been told job security there isn't very good at the moment and morale is rock bottom.
Most CG SAR co pilots are Bristow sponsored and have only about 400 hours max obviously the Captains are very experienced.
Scotia seem to be on the lookout, but for experienced pilots with a view to use them for command.
You could try the miltary but don't expect a lot of flying or many serviceable aircraft.
To be honest if your looking for a job in aviation with decent pay and job security then you'd be better off with the planks.
