In any case it would not be their fault, some poor sod way down the pecking order would get a kicking for that one.
If that's the case, it's a sorry state for pilots all over. I am sure that Messrs Cubin
et al might be able to comment more accurately (notwithstanding the passage of time), but for the RAF to not be in posession of up-to-date information would be rather an indictment?
Having said that, I doubt I would take it up with their boss!
