There was one low hour pilot who did have trouble in the sim on the initial and recurrent details. They eventually got rid of the individual. Capts were reporting that the person was dangerous to fly with.
All the other low houred pilots were outstanding from what I heard. I did sit in with a couple of them when they had to do their circuits in the 757. They were spot on.
The trouble DHL have had recently is that a few of the low houred guys have moved on in less than 18 months service. They were told at interview that they would not build hours quickly. That obviously went in one ear and out t'other. Dont blame them-a chance of a job and a 757 on their licence. Perhaps the night work didnt agree with them. Perhaps they are searching for the glory. What glory. Its just a myth.
