Slave,
The current FLS situation has nothing to do with Ryanair. The Aerospace section of the great white elephant ahs been a thorn in the side of FLS industries for years. It has been a poorly managed loss maker for years and will continue to be so unless there is a major rethink & shakeup. Even the great savior Henderson had to jump ship so as to distance himself from what is going to be a major flop.
As for the money being offered to the lads at SAMS, it varies with the level of cover the individuals have, more licence cover = more dosh.
I don't know who you've been speaking to but there's no shortage of FLS lads willing to go over, so much that they are no longer accepting applications from inreested parties.
They will continue to push -200s & -800s through to FLS shed, its a totally seperate contract & due to run for another 3 years and has nothing to do with us loosing the line contract.
They have gotten authorisation from BAA to erect a temporary hangar in the "Real Airport" but they are currently seeking hangar space on the north side - it doesn't look like they are going to get any so a temporary hangar looks very likely.
The majority of lads who have recieved contracts are quite happy with whats been offered. They are permanant full time contracts not one year conracts as you suggested, there is however a one year probation period, sounds like a long time but seems to be the norm in Ryanair from speaking to pilots, cabin crew & engineers.
And they didn't hold interviews in the Diamond hangar, all interviews were held in Bury lodge.
Did they bin your application
