The Leeds-Cardiff sectors were supposed to be positioning flights and so as coasting says, any pax carried are indeed a bonus to the Cardiff-Funchal results. Apparently forward bookings ex LBA to Funchal are doing quite well despite very late launch of sales for Summer 2005 from Leeds, and flights over the next few weeks have quite a few more passengers booked than the first departure on 2 May. Looks quite positive.
The interesting thing for Summer 2006 will be to see what appears in the second edition brochures (out nearer August/September) on which the majority of tour operator sales will be based. With the exception of TUI, most seem to have rolled their Summer 2005 programmes forward with little or no change.
