Any chance this could be nervous rather than circulatory? Does the numbness extend to the back of your legs? If so, then a few sessions at the bone cruncher/bender (osteo- or chiro-, your choice) should reveal any lower back tension which can cause this. Worked for me but be warned: that great 'loosened up' feeling is addictive!
