Statler and ashmac,
The carpark nearest to the terminal is the AA which used to just mean 'Airport Authority' vehicles, basically a 'perk of the job' been next to the terminal for the airport company workers.
The FA carpark is for everyone else, the 'riff raff', the ones that keep the airport going. (FA meaning '**** All', designated by former airport security manager E.D. who actually once told me this. Still today the greater people of the airport, who keep the place running, still park in the FA carpark. The FA carpark is otherwise known as the 'flyover' or the 'carwash'.
On the bright side boys and girls, I have been informed that the area nearest the carwash (up the ramp) currently occupied by the taxis is shortly to become extra parking.
