Is the minimum requirements of 1000 hours total time into CX just put in to keep guys like myself hoping that one day all the hard work will pay off from GA or is it a realistic figure which will stop your CV from being thrown in the bin as soon as it hits the desk. I am 20, 700 hours of instructing and charter in OZ with multi time and dream of one day flying the heavies.
Could it be possible that for guys like myself in 18 months time things globally will be settled enough to apply with just over a 1000 hours and have ever present age on our side.
