I can't imagine how an S/O can't afford a full time amah in Hong Kong. The standard wages for a full time Filipino amah is $3680 a month. Unlike the CX pilots, they only get 12 months wages in a year. And of course no share options and bonus sharing. Taking their airfare into account, let's call it $4000 a month. Any disbeliever may cross-examine the figures with the Labour Department in Hong Kong. $4000 is probably about 12% of an S/O's salary. In relative terms, I believe 12% is affordable in any country.
