Whirlybird, the requirement has been in place for over 2 years. If your FI Rating was issued after 1 Mar 03, the first revalidation must include a FI proficiency check. There is no distinction between FI(A) or FI(H). If your Rating was issued before 1 Mar 03, you may choose the '2 out of 3' option, but thereafter at least every alternate revalidation must includ a FI proficiency check.
