Just out earning the living that pays for this site actually Ironbutt.
Danny and I run this place using rather large monitors. We are able to have many windows open. You may have noticed the 'IP Logged'' caption at the bottom right hand corner of every post. You may also have noticed the caption near the bottom of each page for 'Ad Free Stats.''
Between them they provide very useful tools regarding of the site and generally you would quite rightly consider them as being of a particularly sad anorak nature.
However, there is another side to them.
Long time members will remember our slogan - The site most read by management. We dropped it a couple of years ago when it became self-evident to all aviation pros that this was quite true.
Of course the aforementioned tools had proven this to us all along.
As I type I have a window open which gives me the full IP, server and router details for the last 45 people who've logged on to
read the site. It is constantly updated. It should be obviously therefore that the information on those actually posting messages is much greater.
Thus we know, for example, exactly how many CX management or SCMP machines are reading the site at any one time. We can produce detailed logs for any hour of any day for any company server accessing this site - it's childsplay.
The same goes for the quite remarkable number of new contributors. If we state that we are unhappy with the integrity of some of them we are speaking diplomatically. While honouring the anonymity of any and all using PPRuNe we will quietly and rapidly put paid to the posting rights of those abusing the system.
Oh, and one final thing from this blighted and unthinking union man. 411a has been 'outed' 4 times in recent weeks. On each occasion his personal details were acquired and placed on this site. In each case the posts were immediately deleted by me.
