I can understand your sentiments, but if you look back at previous postings then you will understand why Thomsonfly have done what they have done. I spoke to a passenger last week, he was flying from LBA for the first time with Jet2. He said that he was from Doncaster and that he normally flys from MAN because he could only ever get a flight from there. He said he "liked LBA" and that "DSA and LBA will give us Yorkshire folk some real choice." This is now my firm belief and that both airports can grow together, even to destinations in America and the Middle East ARE possible from LBA.
I think this is one of the main reasons for the airport looking at improving the runway and its approaches. This will become more of a selling point to attract new airlines and it will help to keep old ones!
