Most processors burn out at around 90c-100c (in my experience!)

Your most probable problem is CPU Fan (the one that sits on top of the heatsink) has kicked le bucket!

I suggest you don't turn it on anymore because your more likey to do more irrepairable damage if it continues to overheat.

Its fairly simple to fix but I would suggest getting a new heatsink as well because chances are yours is stock(i.e. came with processor) and they aren't brillient quality and a new £20quid one will coll it much better and will improve life of processor.

I use the thermalright ones but theyre quite specialist for overclocking and mostly 64bit systems.
