Thanks Millerscourt for replying. I've seen the tax and know about the cars. With the 14.5K left I'd have to take off another 3000 for the schools (2 kids) and lets say 2500 for a fairly decent if not new Toyota. Still left with 9000 per mth or at present about £3000. Meanwhile the house in home country can be let out bringing in some more income each month.
For comparison and looking at the UK, a fairly average line capt pay after tax is about £3600 - minus say 700 for the mortgage, 180 for council tax, 90 for gas and electric, 500 for running a fairly decent not new car, 17.5% VAT on everything you buy, petrol at about 79p per litre etc etc............................
So is SQ or SIA Cargo really that bad?
