Looks like this is going to be quite a storm!!
I've just had a quick look at the BAA Arrivals/Departures website and Virgin, BA, United and American all have ''Please Contact your airline'' next to all departures to Newark, Boston and JFK.
Does this mean that LHR currently has AA/UA aicraft that have no where to go?? The flights all arrived from the NE USA during the morning but it seems as though they can't get back!
Be interesting to hear from anyone who works at LHR as to what is happening to these A/C. Between the 4 airlines mentioned 8 flights seem to be going no-where!
I take it its just a case of park them on a remote stand and wait for the weather to clear??
