I'm not planning on getting 2 medicals or licences, one should be enough
Let me describe my position and give you a better idea of why i made my original question posting.
I would like to prepare the JAA ATPL written and then convert my FAA Commercial into JAA licence.
So the first step was to verify that i was fit for JAA regulation, which i did (sucessfully) close to home, in france.
Next step, was to find the best possible ATPL ground school provider; since most all of my aeronautical knowledge was gained in the US; i quickly came to realise that it would be wiser to stick to Shakespeare original language, which brought me across the Channel in CAA territory.
And finally the question arised: Will they accept my JAA/DGAC class 1 medical or will i need to go for their own medical and spend another hefty amount of money, just to be told (again) that i'm good for service.
Maybe i'm a tortured mind, but i like to know the in's and out's of things.
thank you for your reply.
