Firstly congrats to you all who were offered permanent positions, whether u are a 'scab' or not. You've obviously got what they want so well done!
I went for a group interview in brissie on the 24th of september last year. About 4 weeks later i was contacted saying i forgot to sign one of the dotted lines (woooops!) so it was faxed to me an i faxed it back signed. then that was it. nothing.
I had decided in the meantime not to accept the position once i was aware it was as a strikebreaker, and when the dispute was resolved i figured theyd just thrown all our applications out the window and i forgot about it.
Then this morning i got a phone call telling me i have been successful and would i like to come to a panel interview on 26th Jan (more than 4 months after my original interview). They told me all that stuff about no positions but will be waitlisted if successful and would i be interested in MAM.
So i have a few questions.
a) does anyone know what goes on in these panel interviews cos ive never been to one let alone a real job interview (minus the group thingy)
b) what is MAM????? Youre probably all laughing at me... go ahead... but i have no idea...
Thanks............!!!!!!!!
