I think we have to bring all of this into context, after all this tread was stated regarding a memorabilia collection!

As far as the security issue is concerned, galleyhag is correct, there are loads of bits of memorabilia and old uniform floating about . I remember being in Madrid and seeing an old lady walking down the road wearing a 1980’s ba blouse!
Another consideration is that I would probably be far easier to gain a police or security uniform than an airline uniform! … I’m sure we have all seen police fancy dress outfits before!
Regarding the use of uniforms to gain access to airside areas, if people could gain access to airside areas simply with the use of a uniform and no id badge, I would suggest that nobody ever flew again!! Lol
