Mrs. OddOne was berating the holiday companies for continuing to advertise on the telly, even for holidays miles away from the affected region.
I agree with the consensus on this thread; the only way many of these communities can begin to rebuild their shattered lives is with the support of the tourism industry, so don't feel guilty, enjoy your well-earned break.
It was good to see Emirates advertising a selection of far east destinations, specifically mentioning Gatwick as the starting point for these flights.
