The 406 was from Regional Air, and after engine failure went sliding across the grass. There was a God watching over everybody yesterday in Arusha: the tarmac was full, the ATR was loading its passenger, airplanes were at the pump refueling, and the 406 came sliding a few small meters from them. Things could have gone really wrong.
The pilot had also survived a nasty Caravan crash, with PT6 engine failure, on take-off from HTLM a few months back.
