Almost a fair point but
Soldiers and Officers getting shot in Baghdad, under far more threat than RAF (and Army/Navy) pilots get no extra 'danger/retention' pay despite high rates of pay available from civvi protection firms.
True, however RAF (and Army/Navy) aircrew are at considerably more risk than
most of their groundcrew counterparts.
