Note how many 'americans' on that thread do not realise that the Harrier is a British invention, not to mention that the RAF do not have Harriers, the Marines (and someone said Army) do instead

I once talked to a fellow in the USN, he said to me himself that most Americans (i'm going to get flamed here by the yanks aren't I?)
are oblivious to what is actually going on outside of the States and that everything is invented by them and no one else exists.
He is right, i was asked by someone in the US where i live, i said "UK" and she said "I'm not familiar with that state?"
