Listen up! The world is shrinking. How much do you think the Captain of the Pakistan Airlines 777 is paid per month? Yea! Not too much eh? How little will a Russian pilot (without a job) accept to fly for a third world airline? Not much eh?
The Bean Counters really don't care just as long as they have a qualified bum in all the crew seats that have to be filled. Do not think for one moment they care from whence they originate.
Why do you hear so many Antipodean voices on the radio of UK and European registered aircraft? Not because the Aussies love us or even like us it is because in the 80's they went on strike and completely screwed their own aviation industry so now they are willing to come here and work for low pay!
Ergo - salaries go down! Bean counters win and pilots keep on being poor!
