I'm not quite sure (actually I have no idea) what SEL stands for
Would it be a Single Engine aircraft? Enlight me please and I may be able to provide you with the information you are looking for.
As for the convalidation of your FAA PPL to chilean equivalent, you will need to forward the notary-legalised copies of the following (you will obviously need your originals once in Chile):
Your logbook (must include a BIG stamp from your flight club and/or ideally from your governing agency i.e. CAA or FAA)
Your medical certificate
Your licence
Your passport
2 color passport-size picture (ideally of yourself)
Once the DGAC (chilean CAA) has received all the required documents they will contact the FAA to verify that you indeed hold a FAA PPL. This could take as little as a few days and as long as a few weeks. Afterwards, you will be eligible to hold a chilean "convalidated" PPL for as long as you hold a valid medical certificate.
Hope this helps a little.
Cheers
