Assuming the 717's are doing the west link runs with the NJS pilots.
Could it be said then that QF will firm its Q400 options (sim included) and expand their capacity over the regional network on the Eastern seaboard.
The likelyhood of EAA or SS opening more bases in Darwin/Perth is extremely remote.
However don't be surprised to see some brand spanking new 75+pax Dash 8's giving the flow controllers a nightmare up and down the Aussie East coast
These guys deserve something considering mainline don't seem to believe they are worthy of consideration for the big ones with the Red Tails. This seems crazy to me I would have thought their experience would warrant them a look in at selection. QF surely must see well trained regional pilots heading out the door and think "Why are they leaving us?"
Just a side note. How well will a 717 with too many paint jobs handle the hot conditions in the North West?
