I just made an enquiry about getting a FAA class one medical in Dublin and now I’m a bit confused. Firstly the FAA class 1 medical only cost €130 - €180 depending on weather you have an ECG. Now compared to a JAA class 1 medical of €604 what’s the catch, why such a huge difference in price. Secondly the FAA class 1 medical only takes one hour to complete whereas the JAA takes 6 hours.
Is there something I’m missing here? I definitely asked for a class 1.
