Hi all,

As highly regarded as the data from Janes is - you cannot simulate real world aircraft performances to a high degree of accuracy as there are just too many variables (weight, performance setting, pilot tendency, weather conditions). You will easily be able to point out which are good performers and which are poor performers from your experience, but as your students start to work with the aircraft, they will see what to expect from the types that they typically control. Hopefully your students show enthusiasm for their job, as a lot of information can be gleaned just by being interested in aircraft and paying attention to what you see everyday.

Goldfish Jack - I personally thought that the EurocatX was more of a "Management Tool", especially when the much hyped 'Maestro' eventually turns up. I hope they haven't distanced the controllers from doing just that, controlling...
