I believe one manufacturer of the spin-on oil filter assy is Wolf. Their kit comes with STC, which should be suitable "approved data" for the UK regulatory body to accept.
Why not find out if the manufacturer's STC covers your engine/airframe combination, and then write to the CAA with the details.
