As an ATC instructor, I'm aware of the need for trainees to be aware of aircraft performance characteristics. At present, we give general ideas about various types and the different ways each airline - indeed, pilot - my fly the aircraft, but the students have to learn mostly by observing once they get to OJT. If we had better data, we might be able to add realism to the simulator and better prepare students.
