I stand by what I said above - that we need new entrants and we shouldn't be dismissive of their aspirations when they appear on the horizon - but I also agree 100% with the last post from Harrier461.
I applaud anyone prepared to put their hard-earned money and effort behind a start-up, but having made that decision, the smart money will always say "keep your powder dry". Remember "First European"?, remember "Imperial Airways"? (the Gatwick would-be charter operator), remember....well, you tell me. Common denominator; they were all spending time and energy on press releases and the cut of the hosties' summer uniform (literally true) when they should have been getting their business plan sorted and their funding secured.
This is a world-weary industry that punishes paper airline entrepreneurs on principle. So got for it, but keep your head down!
