I never got to experience the old HKG before it closed, so this is one which might be worth a visit before demolition? Looks like quite an impressive place, although not sure if you need to actually fly in to appreciate it? How does the landing there compare with LCY - can any city airport be as dramatic (maybe YTZ, or Meigs field if it ever re-opened)?

The Air Traffic Licensing Authority at the State of Berlin today approved the application made by the Berlin Airport Authority (BFG) to be discharged from its obligation to operate once the summer timetable lapses on 30th October 2004 (i.e. with effect from midnight on 31st October 2004). The order was given to immediately enforce this discharge.
