coming from my own experience, doing a license abroad be it US, Canada, OZ/NZ wherever, and then converting to a JAA does not always work out to be cheaper. In hindsight, I should have stayed here and done it from start to finish rather than abroad and then converting - probably going to cost me about 5-10000Euro extra.
