Very sad to hear of John's death. I only flew one camera sortie with him, but he was so atuned to the requirements of the cameraman he made the whole job much, much easier and the results were visible in the quality of the footage. He knew where the best angle was for the position of the sun, knew where the best backgrounds for buildings etc were and had his helo plumbed for power for camera so we never had to worry about batteries etc.
A fine gentleman and a genuine pleasure to work with. May he rest in peace and sincerest condolenes to his family and friends. He will be missed.
