*Would I have to drive the push-back truck? Possibly
*Would I have to empty the aircraft toilets? Possibly
*Would I have to lug bags about? without a doubt.
Add to that all sorts of things that are described as being "part of the job" and you know what a ramp agent does.
Then again, if you get too good at that, and actually show some initiative, or even worse, have some relevant professional qualifications, do NOT let on, as that's likely to get you fired!
Then again, there may be some SA/ GG stations out there that are professional, and do the job correctly. Then there are others.
