I heard someone from this outfit doing an interview (large plug rather...!) on BBC Five Live last weekend, their site confirms they are using -200 series Civair. Looks like the heading picture is a QF -300 series.

Civair's previous pedigree is as a chopper operator in Cape Town. Airliners.net - Civair

G'luck to them on start up, but if they are looking to sell tickets on the web, then OK it takes us lot to recognise they are taking the mick on an aircraft image, but it does make you wonder what else they are cutting corners on.

I did have a dig around their site as I am a regular on the CPT run and they seem to be offering a premium biz type service, but details are pretty thin at best. Also, although they are using -200, they seem to be claiming a sector time of LHR-CPT of 12 hours, BA and SA timetable 11.5 using -400's, so they must have an aircraft that can do the trip non-stop, no mention of fuel stops.

Maybe large doses of Caveat Emptor may be in order.

cheers..
