There better of just going to another company rather than feel sorry for themselves on death row.
Tommy, aircraft do not "feel sorry for themselves". They are machines and, in common with all other machines, they eventually reach the end of their useful life where no-one can make economic use of them any more.
When this happens, all useful parts (eg, avionics) are removed from the aircraft and it is broken up. Often with a JCB.
And no, they
don't go to Aircraft Heaven.
