Capt. Idris at EAS now has his B737-200 and Chanchangi are/have been looking for B737-300's in addition to the younger than 22 year 727's they bought...

Cant see these 2 carriers at least supporting the return of the 1-11's especially as they have stood idle for some time and will require considerable catch up mx. and AD work to return to service (legitimately) now.

There is pressure to allow a relaxation on the rule for cargo acft especially as all the non Nigerian cargo operators such as MK with DC8's and 747's have aircraft way beyond 22 years.

In my opinion long may it continue as it will stop a majority of the idiots just thinking they can buy a run out aircraft from the desert and fly it without support or satisfactory business plan - might just end up with a half decent Nigerian airline industry with sensible long term investment
