Enroute controllers have to watch for vfr in E and inform the towers if they think there is going to be an issue for any of the twrs' IFR a/c

Nothing like passing VFR traffic at FL115 to a jet departing from a non-radar tower, especially when their airspace only goes to A045. But it is still required to be passed. Great system.
