FCOLOVER22,
I am not sure you were understanding the VISA/Permit conversation and also not sure to whom you were saying to go do your homework?
The "VISA" to work in the "State Of Qatar" is good for 2 years (or however long they decide to give you.) and this is for you to go to work and perform your job on the aircraft as a crew member leaving the country from time to time on lay-overs and daily flights.
The "EXIT PERMIT" is what you need to have if you want to leave "The State Of Qatar" on your own personel time (Days off) to go on Vacation, see your family and friends around the world, or short holidays, few day trips to Dubai for shopping, ect ect ect.
If you go to Dubai, France, or any country on "COMPANY BUSINESS" i.e training, check-ride, positioning to operate a crew, picking up new aircraft for delivery will be as "Company Travel" and you will not need to use or apply for a "EXIT PERMIT" as you are leaving and will return on company business.
So the homework is complete now, may I go outside and play?
Just kidding, it is good to ask these questions and get the clarification correct so that others who read this thread will know and understand that living and working in the gulf region is not as bad as people make it out to be.
Safe flying.
.......................................
Deske,
Keefalik? How are you?
You asked these questions about the gulf region, USA and the control of the Oil,
Crisis in the Middle East, USA satisfied with Iraq.?????????
These are questions that cannot be answered or you are just looking for many different answers both good and bad for people with many different ways of looking at this.
NOBODY knows what is around the corner in the Gulf or in the world for that matter as to any of your questions.
As a matter of fact, NOBODY knows which is a good Airline, counrty to live in, wife to marry, place to live, car to drive, You get my drift.
Life will deal some people a good career that they will be in until the ripe old age of retirement and some people will have to go through many failed airlines and live in different parts of the world moving every so many years until the age of retirement. you got to just go with the flow.
You can project (look into the future) and maybe have a little bit of foresight as to what plans are being made for different countries, airlines and other things in life and try to make a decession for you and your family at that time with what you know and may feel will happen, but one change (little or big) in a government or leader of a country or the CEO or manegment of an airline change ........................ all bets are off my friend from that day onward you are now looking at a new playing field and it might be better or worse. but this is how it goes. One day you are sitting at the top of the pile and then one day you are at the bottom. roll with the punches my friend.
Sorry no time for spell check this time so please no abuse. Thanks.
Hajj Man.
