Re Sunday [I wasn't at work] was "broadly" similar to Monday [I am led to believe] when I was on duty.
A "phenomenon" called "Fog" came into play, and we [ATC] were into "Single Runway Operations". This means we move 20-ish per hour rather than 60 per hour. Guess what? Yup a backlog.
On Monday, we were advising of 90 mins delay for "start-up".
ALL agences [Apron ATC Handlers] were doing their best.
YES, Manch desperately NEEDS more stands...but, I say again
BUT not one aeroplane was parked on a taxyway.
