Vulnerable pilots Vs. DN Aussie battlers

In all posts about Dn operators l constantly here same recurring topic of "I give people a go", "Start young girls/guys careers" and you know the rest...
Yes good and well, congratulations!
Most people move on and contemplate the great times they had in Darwin and mostly that they stilll have there LIFE!

Reality of the career, is that you are lucky to leave the Top End with your LIFE!

As pilots we are good at rumours amongst ourselves but infrequently speak to the authorities through fear and repercussions.

To many people l know have been scared by experiences that have occured in Darwin.

We all say we can handle it because we have to appear toughened from our experiences.

We become accustomed to excepting second best....

People have had great times in Darwin, Drinking down Mitchell, the markets, fishing, the weather and even flying when the mind is not thinking about the loose skins on the plane, the dodgy sticky throttle, the radio crackling, the spongy left brake, the dirty toilets or hangar floor, the engine that uses more oil than fuel, the next slab you have to buy, the dodgy electrical wiring underneath your legs, should l sign that fault in the release and ground the plane and my income till another time bomb is delivered or the service station which maintains the nearly 30 year old aircraft.

Tip for aircraft operators to sell your dodgy plane, give it a respray and interior job and the plane will not only be worth more but it will be 100 times safer?
And don't swear and say yous, chicks don't find it attractive!

Aussie battlers or fortunes being accumulated.... Individuals have made thamselves in aviation and size does not count but survivability.

Who will be at the next tribal council!

PS. Does anyone no where the driving range is l have seen a golf buggy driving around the south side?
