747-400s for Air Atlanta

Air Atlanta has added two new Boeing 747-400 airplanes to the Atlanta fleet. These are the largest and most advanced type of aircraft made by Boeing. The airplanes will be registered in Iceland, the first of this type to be registered in Iceland as well as in the Nordic countries.
The airplanes will be leased with crew and maintenance service to Iberia, the spanish airlines. The contract with Iberia spans a period of two years during which the routes will be between Madrid and Havana, and between Madrid and the Canary Isles. Estimated revenue from the contract is 5,8 billion Icelandic kronur.
