Thanks guys for those who have lended a supporting hand!!...the facility as stated will be complete or scheduled to be complete now in about 9-10 weeks, given no delays and beleive you me there have been some!!
When the heliport was approved by council initially, they stated that when complete, this facility will be the only available heliport in the city apart from westpac and Marine which provide specific roles. read what you like into that, they wanted a facility to be close to the city CBD, yet far enough away from a residential area to cause concern.
This land and facility is owned by the operator so there is no chance of it being taken back by the council as we have seen with other heliports in the area previously.
Anyway for the sceptics out there, 1. see what the facility is doing in 12-18 months time. 2. be pleased that someone is willing to put their $$$ on the line to get better facilitys for this industry.
