Saturday afternoon. Had asked nicely if I could go along on a 206 job with an experienced commercial pilot and instructor.
Got late notice the job was on, arrived 13:40, airborne 14:10, across the Salisbury Plain low level route to Warminster, into a field to pick up two pax, fly Stonehenge - Pewsey - Avebury - Devizes - Bath - Warminster, seeing lots of interesting things along the way AND the houses of my sister and parents, drop off back at the hotel, then back along the low level route to Thruxton for 16:00.
1.5 hours in the book, all for free, mucho learned along the way, and seeing the way helicopters SHOULD be operated !
