As one of those waiting for Linton I think that the reason some of the pre-AFT guys will be restreamed as opposed to those pre-BFJT is that you can't just shut down Linton for a few months because then you've also got the problem of what to do with the QFIs without studes and all of the aeroplanes sitting on the ground. This lull would then work it's way up to Valley in due course and you'd get the same problem there. Whereas there's already a large backlog for Valley so the people removed from there would be replaced by those fresh out of Linton who would then have a smaller hold. Sucks though - it's bad enough not knowing at my stage nevermind having already passed Tincans and got your wings only to be pushed aside for somebody a year behind in the system.
And it is blatently obvious that those waiting for Valley are a smaller training risk than us, but having said that I expect some of us in my position will also take a hit and be sent to pastures new before to long.
