What is going on in Europe??

They will not hire you because you are to experienced, well that makes a lot of sense dosen't it. The reason they want a 22 year old 250 hour pilot is he/she will not ask any questions and complain about the company. This pilot is willing to work for almost nothing and probably also pay for training, saving the airline money!! Management likes that!

" A lot of airlines steer clear of experienced crew, so as they dont want to pick up crew with 'bad habits' from other carriers.

All airlines like to have clean slates to work off.... want their crew to do it their way, and not for crew to be thinking you can do it better."

Well you keep telling yourself that is the reason......

Take a look at MESA airlines in the US. Everybody (the pilots) hates this airline because they are forcing the payscales way down. This airline operates very cheap and underbids other airlines because they don't pay their pilots anything. They hire young low time pilots to fly right seat in a CRJ making $14000 a year. This is devestating for the industry. If one airline is doing this the others have to follow to be able to stay alive in the market.
