I think i may have heard of Iris too. I have heard on my layovers some talk about her. She is with United and is ranked as senior number 1!!!
Apparently she wasn't always a Flight attendant...she had parents that didn't really approve of her career choice when she was younger when she wanted to be a flight attendant so she studied some profession and did that for a great number of years and was quite successful. Anyway she came to some turning point in her life...not sure what it was I forget now but she decided to become a flight attendant in her late 40s! Now she is still flying!
I first heard about Iris when I was on a layover talking to one of the pilots who was ex United and now flies with Qantaslink.
I'm sure there are others that have heard about her and isn't it a great inspiration to know that someone is out there loving their job!!! :-)
