Personally have not had any problems with ground staff when I travelled IDxx.
Having said this, always tried my best to accomodate said ground staff at outstations when they wanted to RTB.
FD seat...be my guest.
Cabin jumpseat...at your pleasure, if available.
OTOH, did have
one station manager who absolutely insisted that one ground staff
had to be accomodated, yet we had just plain run out of seats.
Looked this guy straight in the eye and mentioned...'tell you what,
I'll give him
my seat and will be pleased to return to HOTAC for an extra night (in BKK)...sad to say he declined
