The GT50 design does not have an N1 gearbox/geartrain as a typical turbine does. This is why the start/generator is mounted in front of the compressor inlet and is directly driven by the compressor shaft.

Looks aside, a bought-in engine will ensure the price point is way above an HX50 and likely above an R66 too. Plus Bruno finds the VSR700 UAV program MUCH more interesting, so potential G5 buyers will just have to be patient to have a price quoted before they will even take pre-orders
I'm more interested in the number of pre-orders the G5 gets vs the 1000+ the HX has. As I've stated before, its more than just price that has driven those HX pre-order numbers given a typical number for past small turbine entries was <400 which was also had a commercial use component that the HX does not have.
