The mad russian seems to be reacting to "joe publics" perseption of the ex-military aces rather than what actualy happens in the flying business.

The military training is very good and because the military pilot usualy has ( thank god ) naff all else to do all day but practice he will attain a high level of skill with the equipment that he is flying at the tax payers expence.

It is very hard for any commercial opperation to afford this level of training and just because someone is very compedent with a fast jet it will not follow that they will be an ace with a high powered piston taildragger without more training.

The Extra 300 has been used at ETPS as a progect aircraft for the very reason that it is so different from anything that most military pilots will have encountered .

As I see it the guys at Ultimate high are doing the best they can to make a buck in the hard world of aviation and a lot of what they have to do to make ends meet is corperate entertainment.
The problem that what sounds good to the corperate entertainment industry may well come over as arrogance to other pilots , I doubt that you will find much arrogance if you meet these guys but I think that you may well learn a little about pilotage if you fly with them.
